Response to "tailgaters should obey law, and grow up," (Forum, July 21):

Should tailgating be allowed at RedHawk games?

First off, who is Lynn W. Olund to judge the people that tailgate at RedHawk games? How does she know if their personalities are pathetic, and that they need alcohol to get any enjoyment out of anything? Does she know these people? Does she talk to these people? Maybe they are pathetic, and maybe she's pathetic for judging them. Let's let the city commission and the university decide about tailgating.

Nothing is wrong with people having alcohol to have a good time. Then again, nothing is wrong with people having a soda or lemonade for a good time. That's what is great about this country -- the freedom to choose.

What is wrong with this country are people like Olund making judgments on people. Especially when they're trying to have fun.

I like having a soda like the average Joe. I also like having a beer occasionally, and sometimes a lot more than just one. So does that make me pathetic? I guess in her eyes it does.
