I have finally cooled down enough to write this letter. On Sunday, March 19, I read Curtis Eriksmoen's article about Fargo's own Bobby Vee.
After reading the article with shock and disbelief, I read it again and again. What was he thinking? Or has he been asleep since 1999?
The article was accurate, as far as it went.
But Eriksmoen missed the real story. Vee has a full schedule this year, seven years after Eriksmoen stopped thinking.
But in all fairness, was Eriksmoen ever thinking? The material in his article came straight from the Internet. A few clicks and his article was basically finished. As a teacher for over 30 years, I would have given him a fast "F."

The headline missed the point. There is much more to Vee's career than the headline suggested.
As a teenager in the '60s, I thought Vee was a great singing star. I met him in 2003 as an old retired lady, long after Eriksmoen gave up on him. He is so much more than a singing star. He is a fine man. He lives in the area and gives back to us old teens. Eriksmoen might be interested in knowing he often performs in Fargo.
I'd have more to say, but I hear he is writing a book. Eriksmoen can read it.
OK, so I haven't cooled down.
