In one of its ads, KFGO calls the Fargo Air Museum a "charity." That is a bit of a "stretch."
The museum is a museum. A charity reflects love and care for the needy, the suffering -- without an admission charge.
The Air Museum -- filled with machines -- may be a good idea but it is certainly not a charity. I have the feeling that the word "charity" is used to drum up more contributions, and that is deceptive. Language -- even in radio ads -- needs to be precise and accurate.
