Shame. Shame on you.
While I enjoy a good laugh, even a little "holy irreverence" from time to time in poking fun at some of the problems and foibles of life together in our world, I found the headline in Thursday's edition (March 20) of The Forum ("Good Morning, Saddam") highly offensive and inappropriate to say the least.
In war people die -- whether innocent civilians, our own loved ones in uniform, possibly even brutal dictators (and in some cases maybe for good cause) -- but war still brings death and to be flippant about that is not to be witty simply classless.
The Forum ought to be ashamed of itself.
Certainly the people of Fargo-Moorhead deserve better.
