As the time for the Fargo City Commission election rapidly approaches, I feel compelled to voice my opinion on issues and the candidate who is the clear choice concerning these issues. He is our neighbor, friend, and long-time resident of this city, Dave Engebretson.

The need for a candidate who is a supporter of the people, is at this time the most important criteria for this city. Instead of the "status quo good old boy, City Commission" that panders to developers and the need to bleed its citizenry dry in the name of "special assessment taxes," we need someone to take a stand for the general public.

When it becomes necessary for the government to take personal property in the name of eminent domain for the use of commercial development, we need a commissioner(s) who will take a stand against the blatant use of public money for personnal gain at the cost of people's freedom.

To that end, there is only one clear choice for City Commission. That man is Engebretson. He is the only candidate who is concerned about the people and their rights. He will fight alongside the people of this great city to ensure the future for our children. When I step to the polls in a few days, there is no doubt who I will support, and who should be supported by everyone in this city.

Vote for Engebretson, the people's choice for change in Fargo.
