As I read some of the articles surrounding Majority Leader Tom DeLay's visit to Fargo for Republican congressional candidate Duane Sand, I recall several articles about Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., and the ultra-liberal leader of his party in Congress.
Recently, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., made some quite obscene statements about President George W. Bush and our troops. Sand asked Pomeroy to denounce the statements because they were demoralizing to our president and our troops. I'm still waiting for Pomeroy's response.
Sand has the support of DeLay. On the other hand, Pomeroy toes the Democrat party line for John Kerry and Pelosi.
My mother always said you can tell a lot about a man by who his friends are.
If Pomeroy's friends are Pelosi and Kerry, it is easy to tell that he is not one of us.
