This letter is in response to Debby Erickson (letter, April 7).
To answer your question about what Jesus would do, He would say the same thing He told the woman caught in the act of adultery. He would say, "Go and sin no more." If sexual preference doesn't matter, then we should let child molesters in as well because they were "born that way." We might as well let in thieves and murderers too because we don't want to discriminate against them either.
The YMCA has set a standard and they have every right to uphold that standard. It's disturbing to see the Word of God twisted to suit people's personal situation.
The Bible is timeless and not open to interpretation.
