Friday night (May 27) I went to Theatre B's production "Quake" in downtown Fargo. I really enjoyed this production from opening scene to the final scene. The story line follows Lucy's (Carrie Wintersteen) quest to find the one true love of her life. Throughout the play, she falls in love with several men all across the globe but none of them really seem to work out for her. This play is well written and under Amber Rae Krenzel's direction, you really feel part of the action as it unfolds before your eyes.
If you like local theater, you will enjoy this production and see some of the finest acting in this area by the five members of Theatre B. In this production, I enjoyed seeing the best work of these people in anything I've seen any of them perform in the past.
Lori Horvik (That Woman) shows a side of her that I'm sure only her husband Scott has seen before. Both Scott Horvik and Dave Wintersteen play several characters during the play and it's amazing to watch them change from character to character and not blend any of them together. Amber Rae plays a hysterical stewardess in one of her roles; it would be great to fly with her on board. The bicycle scene with Lucy and Jock literally takes your breath away just watching them go though the scene. I know I couldn't keep up with them and their incredibly fast pace.
There is one more weekend for you to catch this play before its run is over. Take it from me; it is well worth it to make this play part of one of your entertainment nights out. I can assure you that you will enjoy the trip this cast takes you on.
