I would like to thank the Moorhead Fire Department. Our family purchased a blue and gold macaw parrot about 12 years ago. The bird is currently living in Moorhead with our son and his wife, and while they were outside, the bird got frightened and flew up into the trees and would not come down.
They called the Fire Department and they were able to come over and spray water into the tree. He came down and, other than having a bath, will be OK.
Having a pet like this is like having another child. Their intelligence level is equal to that of a 3- to 4-year-old child and they do know what they are talking about when they talk.
So again, a thank you to the Moorhead Fire Department for their assistance and their timely response.
