Will Gardner, Fargo, Letter: Go for Mitt Romney in February caucus

If there were ever a time our North Dakota vote for the president could make the difference, it would be 2008. But don't wait until November, because the real election - the North Dakota caucus - is Feb. 5. In November, your choices are down to two.

If there were ever a time our North Dakota vote for the president could make the difference, it would be 2008.

But don't wait until November, because the real election - the North Dakota caucus - is Feb. 5. In November, your choices are down to two. Now is the time to choose the candidate you will be voting for, a president who is concerned about family values as much as your family's financial well-being.

With his success as a businessman, a governor, and in bringing prominence to the Olympics, Mitt Romney is now leading this race and is the most all-around conservative who can win in November. But this year, the race is tight, and we will have a big decision to make. All eyes will be on the Super Tuesday states, and it could all come down to North Dakota.

Romney is our best chance to grow as a country with conservative principle. He has shown he can create jobs, work across party lines to find solutions, and he will defend our country.

But what speaks most to my heart as a young father of four children is Romney's adamant support and commitment to protect the lives of unborn children. If a man like Romney can be an economic leader and at the same time have respect for the smallest in life, we can trust him to be wise when making the biggest decisions in our world.

So, with the eyes of the nation on us, and with Romney close to victory, it is North Dakota's moment to be the state that pushes him over the top on Super Tuesday to be our presidential candidate in November.
