In the July 3 Forum a cartoon appeared showing Katharine Hepburn being welcomed at the pearly gates.
According to John 3:3 Jesus stated that "Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
In the Ladies' Home Journal, October 1991, p. 215, Katharine Hepburn said "I'm an atheist and that's it. I believe there is nothing we can know except that we should be kind to each other and do what we can for each other."
If later she had announced that she had been "born again" there would have been a tremendous amount of publicity about it. I haven't seen it and I'm sure I would remember it. So would Saint Peter have welcomed her, as depicted?
