Not very often in the beginning of December is there no snow in this area. For the Moorhead Nordic Ski team, that means taking a different approach to keep its season going.
"Right now, were all under a lot of restrictions and can't really go a lot of places, but this is place you can go and still socialize from a distance," says operations manager Megan Smith.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - Detroit Mountain, which reopened this year after being shuttered for years, didn't have much snow earlier this week when rains melted away most of the white stuff.
