Former Southwest Region Lieutenant Steven Johnson claims he had criminal charges filed against him for "revenge" after learning one of his troopers was having an affair while on duty.
The senator said that while he was privy to more details of the case, he could not provide specific details and referred further questions to Groszhans’ family.
The case stems from August 2019, when a vehicle driven by Dazechnae Willis, of Colorado, struck a motorcycle driven by Kelsey Schaefer on U.S. Highway 83 near Baldwin, North Dakota, a town about 17 miles north of Bismarck.
Kyle Ruben Sanchez, 34, appeared Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Cass County District Court on a Class AA felony of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
