St. Paul Minn. — The Fargo Invaders could not keep up with the St. Paul Pioneers, losing 30-12 Saturday night in Northern Elite Football League action at Sea Foam Stadium.

The Invaders were held scoreless in the first half and trailed 12-0 before Brandon Jones scored from one yard out to make it a one score game.

Trailing 23-12 in the fourth, Invaders running back Derek Alexander fumbled in the redzone and the Pioneers recovered and ran it back for a 94-yard touchdown return to seal the win.

Invaders quarterback Ja'vonte Johnson was 13 for 37 with 156 yards and one touchdown, while Brandon Jones ran for 35 yards on four touches.

Fargo falls to 1-3 in NEFL play and 4-3 overall and will travel to St. Cloud to take on the Mud Dawgs at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 29.
