"We felt we had a good first half," South head coach Tyler Kosel said. "We just came out and they hit us in the mouth in the second half. They are a good football team."

Olsen ran for 50 yards as the primary back after starter Jalen Sprecher was injured early in the third quarter after running for 75 yards and a touchdown. Bismarck gained 200 yards on the ground.

"We had a few missed tackles, and they were fired up," Kosel said.

It was Bismarck's second 27-point win over the Bruins (6-4) this season. The Demons beat South 41-14 earlier this season.

"This is a tough one," Kosel said.

Fargo South quarterback Tanner DuBois completed 18 of 29 passes for 143 yards. However, he was intercepted four times, two of which ended in Bismarck touchdowns.

"We shot ourselves in the foot a little too many times," Kosel said of his team's six turnovers.

Victor Isaak led the Bruins in rushing with 48 yards on 14 carries. Isaak scored on a 3-yard run to tie the game at 7-7 early in the second quarter and added another TD run in the fourth quarter.

Sprecher opened the scoring on a 5-yard run just over one minute into the game. That capped a drive set up by a Bruins' fumble on their own 12-yard line on the opening kickoff.

Isaak's TD capped an 18-play, 95-yard drive. He carried eight times for 43 yards and DuBois was 6-for-6 for 46 yards on that drive.

Bismarck scored again with 38 seconds remaining in the first half on quarterback Will Madler's 24-yard pass to Joe Jahner.

"It's tough to see this season end right now," Kosel said. "But they're a very good football team. We were a confident coming out after halftime, but they were fired up."
