DURHAM, N.C.-North Dakota State pitchers KK Leddy and Jacquelyn Sertic each hurled their first shutouts of the season as the Bison defeated Yale and Kent State by identical 3-0 scores during the second day of the Duke University Inaugural Tournament on Saturday.

Leddy, a junior right-hander from Middleburg, Fla., tossed a complete game six-hitter past Yale in the opener.

Sertic, a senior right-hander from Sparks, Nev., fashioned a three-hitter in the second game against Kent State. Sertic struck out 10 to reach double-figure strikeouts for the fourth time this season and 22nd in her career. It was her first shutout this season and 14th in her career.

NDSU improved to 8-5 with the wins.
