UND's Klabo named to Big Sky all-conference basketball team

RENO, Nev.—University of North Dakota junior Lexi Klabo, a Fargo Davies High School graduate, was named to the five-player All-Big Sky Conference women's basketball first team. Klabo, a second teamer last season, gives UND a first team honoree in each of the last five seasons.

Klabo leads North Dakota in scoring (18.9), rebounding (9.2) and blocks (2.2) and is among the conference leaders in all three of those statistical categories through the regular season. She is currently fifth in all of NCAA Division I in free throws made (184), making 80 percent of her foul shots this season.

She has 13 double-doubles this season and has charted at least 20 points in a game on 15 different occasions. She recently became the 36th UND player to crack the 1,000 career point mark and just the 14th to do so before her senior season.

UND is scheduled to play a Big Sky Conference Tournament opening round game at 7:30 p.m. today in Reno against Montana State.
