Coach's comments: "We have five starters back from last year's team with two seniors returning," Ron Drechsel said. "We have outstanding leadership with our seniors and a nice group of young and talented kids. We expect them to step up and challenge for key playing time. We play in a very competitive section and with a positive and learning regular season we hope to be involved during tournament time. Consistent pitching and the ability to put the ball in play will be key for us."

Our year will depend heavily on the ability of our young pitchers to make quality pitches and our young catchers controlling the rhythm of the game. We have a solid group of young ladies that are very focused on doing the work necessary to be successful, and as long as we can continue to hold each other to that standard, we will hopefully be in the mix at the end."

Coming into this season our roster is still fairly young, but they have a full year of experience together as a whole team under their belts, and we expect that to be evident in their skill and maturity on the field this year.
