LANGDON, N.D.-Trey Larimer homered and drove in two runs to lift Thompson to a 3-2 win over LaMoure on Saturday in a North Dakota American Legion baseball Class B state tournament semifinal game.
Larimer also gave up zero hits with a walk over two innings to earn the win. Tyler Hegg knocked in a run for Thompson.
Jace Hanson had a triple, one run and an RBI to lead LaMoure, while Mac Bierman went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
Thompson will play Carrington at 1 p.m. Sunday in the championship game.
Carrington 13, Velva 7
Carrington tallied 18 hits en route to a 13-7 win over Velva in the semifinals.
Payton Smith went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Carrington. Gunner Buskness homered and scored two runs for Carrington, while Kyle Leapaldt and Jayden Shipman each added three hits and an RBI.
Colton Frankl drove in two runs to pace Velva, while Quentin Peterson and Nicholas Effertz each added a hit and an RBI.
Carrington advances to the championship game where it will face Thompson at 1 p.m. Sunday.
