Moorhead High graduate Mark Ladwig, who competed in pairs figure skating in the 2010 winter olympics in Vancouver, is offering words of encouragement to the Class of 2020 about getting through troubling times. In a filmed shout out from his home in Florida, Ladwig says the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks happened shortly after he graduated. He says it was a troubling time to be a young adult, but "we all got through it." And he says this generation will help us get through the pandemic as well.

He said while making the Olympic team was incredible, "It was never linear. There are always ups and downs."
