Fargo Davies 87, Fargo North 59
FARGO — Four players finished in double figures to lead Davies past North in Eastern Dakota Conference basketball Tuesday night.
Owen Hektner led the Eagles with 22 points and seven assists. Latrel Davis and Ian Motschenbacher each added 17 points.
Isaac Cody paced the Spartans with 18 points, while Gabe Sagvold chipped in eight points.
Davies rose to 5-3 overall and 5-2 in the EDC. North dropped to 2-4 both overall and in the EDC.
Wahpeton 83, Fargo Shanley 78
FARGO — Wahpeton held off Shanley’s Conner Kraft to secure an Eastern Dakota Conference basketball win Tuesday night.
Kraft scored a game-high 42 points and hauled in 14 rebounds to lead the Deacons. Matthew Hulstein added 10 points and five rebounds.
Tyler Tollefson’s 30 points led the Huskies. Munezero Desire totaled 22 points, while Bridger Hansen posted 12 points.
Wahpeton rose to 6-3 both overall and in the EDC. Shanley fell to 4-4 both overall and in the EDC.
West Fargo 83, Grand Forks Red River 72
GRAND FORKS — A balanced attack propelled West Fargo past Red River in Eastern Dakota Conference basketball Tuesday.
Carter Birrenkott scored a team-high 21 points and seven rebounds. Joel Pease added 18 points, while Carson Hegerle and Parker Nelson had 15 and 14 points, respectively. Brett Limke rounded out the double-figure scoring with 13 points.
Paine Parks’ 27-point, 10-rebound double-double led Red River. Carter Byron followed with 14 points.
West Fargo improved to 6-0 both overall and in the EDC. Red River fell to 0-7 both overall and in the EDC.
West Fargo Sheyenne 90, Grand Forks Central 44
GRAND FORKS — Sheyenne sprinted to an EDC win over Central behind Gage Anderson’s 26 points.
Anderson added 10 assists and six rebounds to lead the Mustangs. Jacksen Moni finished with 19 points, while Ben Manson scored 17.
Mason Gravseth paced Central with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Sheyenne rose to 8-1 both overall and in the EDC. GFC dropped to 2-5 overall and 2-4 in the EDC.
Fargo Davies 81, Fargo North 26
FARGO — Davies breezed to an Eastern Dakota Conference girls basketball victory over North Tuesday night.
Ryleigh Wacha scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Eagles. Taylor Frey also recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Emily Skalicky led the Spartans with six points.
Davies is now 6-1 both overall and in the EDC. North sits at 1-6 both overall and in the EDC.
Fargo Shanley 70, Wahpeton 36
WAHPETON, N.D. — Kate Busek led Shanley past Wahpeton in girls basketball action Tuesday.
Busek tallied 21 points and seven rebounds. Moriku Hakim followed with 14 points for the Deacons.
Wahpeton was led by Lidia Motl’s 11 points and Scout Woods’ 10 points.
Shanley improved to 6-3 both overall and in the EDC. Wahpeton dropped to 1-8 both overall and in the EDC.
Grand Forks Red River 80, West Fargo 61
WEST FARGO — Grand Forks Red River remained undefeated in the Eastern Dakota Conference with a road win over West Fargo on Tuesday.
Miriley Simon scored a game-high 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to pace the Packers.
Jocelyn Schiller led Red River with 21 points, while Alex Page followed with 19 points.
Red River is 6-1 overall and 6-0 in the EDC. West Fargo is 5-2 both overall and in the EDC.
West Fargo Sheyenne 70, Grand Forks Central 43
WEST FARGO — Sheyenne cruised to an EDC victory over Grand Forks Central.
Peyton Breidenbach scored 14 points to pace the Mustangs (4-4, 4-4 EDC). Maya Metcalf poured in 12 points and Alivia Manson followed with 10 points.
Haley Gereau tallied 20 points to pace Grand Forks Central (0-8, 0-7 EDC).
