FARGO -- The Fargo Force host the Chicago Steel for Game 4 of the Clark Cup Finals Saturday. The Force need a win to stay alive in this best-of-5 series.
Chicago strikes first off the stick of Adam Fantilli in the opening period, but the Force strike back. Cody Monds evens the score off the assist from Matt Crasa in the first period. UND hockey commit Jackson Blake breaks the tie in the second period in favor of the Steel, and after several shots on goal in the third, Fargo unable to even the score as Chicago adds on to win Game 4 3-1, and wins the series 3-1 as well.
The Minnesota Wild are unable to avoid falling behind 3-1 in their series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas defeats Minnesota 4-0 after a pair of goals from Nicolas Roy. Game five will be played Monday in Las Vegas.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks continue opening week on the road at Kansas City Saturday. The RedHawks trying to stay hot, get support from a big seventh inning to take the lead. Alex Boxwell and Jordan George knock in runs in the four-run frame. RedHawks win it 8-4.
The Twins continue their struggles in exta-innings baseball. Minnesota now 0-8 in more than nine innings played after falling to Cleveland 5-3 in 10 innings.
Tom Hoge shoots a 2-over 74 in Saturday's round of the PGA Championship. Phil Mickelson leads the field at 7-under.
