FARGO -- The Fargo Marathon was held Saturday morning. Several local runners took part in the event, some even taking the top spots.
In the Men's Half-Marathon, former MSUM Dragon runner, and Ada, Minnesota, native, Spencer Ruebke finished first. His time of 1 hour, 10 minutes and 32 seconds was 7 minutes ahead of the next person and 8 minutes ahead of the next male finisher.
In the 10K races, Moorhead natives Adam Pangrac and Casie Coulter the winners. Pangrac, with a time of 34 minutes, 22 seconds on the men's side; Coulter, coming in at 39 minutes, 48 seconds for the women.
The MSUM Dragons return to Scheels Field at Nemzek Stadium Saturday looking for its second win of the season. Down by more double digits in the fourth quarter, the Dragons roared back, scoring 23 points in the final window of action to come out with the 33-28 win. It's the Dragons' first win of the season. Jamestown native Tommy Falk finished with more than 400 passing yards.
Despite nearly 400 yards of offense, Concordia fell in their MIAC opener with a 36-21 loss at Gustavus.
North Dakota State Volleyball falls to Oral Roberts University in three sets. The Bison had a 20-13 lead over the Golden Eagles, but Oral Roberts will come from behind to take the second set. Syra Tanchin would lead the Bison with 11 kills, Aixa Vigil lead the Golden Eagles with 10. NDSU falls to 6-8 this season and 0-2 in conference play.
