Moorhead 3, Benilde-St. Margaret’s 1

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. — Moorhead picked up its fourth win of the season Friday, as the Spuds topped Benilde-St. Margaret’s 3-1 in Minnesota high school boys hockey.

Mike Overbo scored a power-play goal for the Spuds in the first period. Nolan Westra gave the Spuds a 2-1 lead in the third with a power-play goal. Gavin Fullmer added an insurance goal to cap the scoring for the Spuds. Goalie Hudson Hodges tallied 34 saves.

Moorhead rose to 4-2 overall, while B-SM fell to 4-3.

West Fargo 4, Fargo North 2

FARGO — West Fargo downed Fargo North on Friday in North Dakota East Region boys hockey at the John E. Carlson Coliseum.

Nathan Tangen, Devin Wolf, Zayne Brunette and Chase Forthun each scored a goal for the Packers.

Owen Bartz netted a goal for the Spartans.

West Fargo improved to 3-3 overall and 3-1 in the East Region. Fargo North fell to 1-6 overall and 1-4 in the East Region.

Fargo Davies 6, Grafton-Park River 0

FARGO — Fargo Davies cruised to a shutout victory over Grafton-Park River at the Southwest Arena.

Davies improved to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the East Region. G-PR fell to 2-5 overall, 1-4 in the East Region.

Fargo Davies 2, West Fargo United 1

WEST FARGO — Fargo Davies had a 45-14 shots on goal advantage in the Eagles’ East Region girls hockey victory over West Fargo United.

Olivia Opheim scored a power-play goal for Davies (6-1-1, 3-1-1 ER) in the first period and Faith Morris added a goal in the third. Goalie Kennedy Cook recorded 13 saves.

Madison Schoenberg scored the lone goal for West Fargo United (4-5, 3-3).
