MOORHEAD - Three players from Minnesota State Moorhead’s women’s basketball team were named to the Northern Sun Conference all-first team while their coach, Karla Nelson, was named the league’s coach of the year.

Kiley Borowicz, sophomore from Roseau, Minn.; Megan Hintz, a junior from Rochester, Minn. and Jacky Volkert, a senior from Arden Hills, Minn., were the Dragons who earned first-team honors. Nelson guided the Dragons to their third straight NSIC championship.

Volkert was named to the all-defensive team while Peyton Boom of Barnesville, Minn., was named to the all-freshman team.

Addison Park, a senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., was the only Dragons men’s player named to the NSIC first team. Travaun Coad, a senior from Reading, Pa., was named to the second team.
