MANDAN, N.D. -- Brett Gustafson struck out six batters and extended his scoreless inning streak to 33 as Fargo Post 2 beat Mandan 8-2 Sunday in a nine-inning American Legion baseball game.
Aaron Seelig went 2-for-5 with a home run while Reid Arnold went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Matt Sommerfeld and Mitch Kary each had two hits, with Kary hitting a triple and knocking in two runs.
Fargo improved to 38-17.
The scheduled doubleheader turned into a nine-inning game when rain delayed the opener for 90 minutes. Gustafson relieved Reid Kittelson after the delay.
Kittleson allowed both Mandan runs, doubling his earned runs allowed to four in 54 innings this season.

Weller shuts down D-G-F
BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. -- Mike Weller tossed a two-hit shutout while teammates took advantage of five errors as New York Mills beat Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 11-0 Sunday in the District 9 South American Legion baseball tournament.
Weller struck out two batters while allowing hits to only Mike Hanson and Ben Kragnes in the third and fifth innings, respectively.
With New York Mills leading 1-0, D-G-F (19-9) squandered a chance in the field in the first inning to stop a rally.
Two two-out errors helped New York Mills to a five-run inning as it never looked back.
