DEVILS LAKE, N.D. - Don Denning and his son Jacob, both of Fargo, teamed up with Blake Meyer of Moorhead to win the Young Angler Regional Tournament held on Devils Lake last weekend.
Team Denning caught five walleyes weighing in at 16.11 pounds, just enough to edge out Team Trana by .09 pounds to win the tournament hosted by FM Walleyes Unlimited Inc. and the Lake Region Anglers Association.
With the win, Team Denning earned a spot at the Young Angler International Championships to be held in August in Kenora, Ont.
