Jennifer Hummel of West Fargo and Jason Hansen of Jamestown represented North Dakota at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai earlier this month.
Hummel, a bowler, won a silver medal in singles and team competition. She also placed seventh in doubles competition, a news release from Special Olympics North Dakota said.
Hansen won a silver medal in the 3,000-meter run. He also placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run and seventh in the 4-by-400 meter relay, the release said.
Hummel and Hansen are among those who will be recognized for their efforts, work and support of Grand Forks-based Special Olympics North Dakota during the organization's state awards banquet Saturday in Fargo.
