The Fargo Angels defeated Devils Lake 6-1 in the North Dakota Bantam State A Championship at West Fargo Sports Arena.
It's the Angels' first Bantam A championship. Landon Meier, Boden Meier and Foster Lord all had a goal and an assist and Cail Astrup added two assists. Goalie Merik Grinaker made 20 saves.
The Angels reached the championship game defeating Grand Forks Red 8-0 in the quarterfinals, then downing the Fargo Freeze 4-1 in the semifinals.
In the tournament, Landon Meier led the team in scoring with 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists), followed by Boden Meier (4 goals, 1 assist) and Astrup (1 goal, 4 assists). Grinaker stopped 50 shots in the three games.
