FARGO - Barnesville running back/defensive back/kick returner Michael Strand was announced as a top 10 finalist for the 2013 Minnesota Mr. Football Award Wednesday.
Strand rushed for 1,701 yards - 16 yards per carry - and 31 touchdowns to go along with 14 catches for 306 yards and six touchdowns for the Trojans in 2013. He also returned three punts for touchdowns to go along with 56 tackles and six interceptions on defense.
The award will be presented at the Mr. Football Banquet Dec. 8 at the DoubleTree Hotel in St. Louis Park, Minn.
