GLYNDON, Minn. — D-G-F cruised past Frazee in a Friday doubleheader.
Tanner Tahran (2-2) tossed a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts in Game 1. Carter Kohler went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBIs to pace the Rebels offense. Adam Weatherly, Jay Greuel and Nathan Leitner each added two hits.
Weatherly went 3-for-5 to lead D-G-F in Game 2. Jacobe Stetz and Jacob Strand each collected two hits. Kohler struck out six in a complete-game effort.
The Rebels improved to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the Heart O’Lakes conference. Frazee fell to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in the HOL.
Fargo North 4, 8, Valley City 0, 0
FARGO — Fargo North earned a pair of shutout wins as the Spartans rolled through Valley City in an Eastern Dakota Conference doubleheader.
Peyton Fisher, Dan Christianson and Mike Hallquist each drove in one run for the Spartans in Game 1. Tyler Thrash gave up eight hits and struck out eight in a complete-game shutout.
Jack Dorsher knocked in four runs to pace North in the second game. Caden Headlee had one RBI. Luke Kallod struck out six through 3 1/3 no-hit innings.
The Spartans improved to 8-5 overall and 7-4 in the EDC. The Hi-Liners fell to 2-6 overall and 1-5 in the EDC.
Mandan 7, 0, West Fargo 3, 9
WEST FARGO — West Fargo tallied a Game 2 shutout after falling in the opener to earn a doubleheader split with Mandan.
Derrick Miraldi went 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs to lead the Packers in Game 1.
Casey Reber went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs for West Fargo in the second game.
The Packers moved to 9-6 overall, while Mandan sits at 8-8.
Grand Forks Central 9, 2, West Fargo Sheyenne 2, 6
GRAND FORKS — West Fargo Sheyenne and Grand Forks Central split a doubleheader.
Sheyenne moved to 6-5 overall and 3-3 in the EDC. Central shifted to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the EDC.
Fargo Davies 19, 17, Wahpeton 0, 0
WAHPETON, N.D. — Fargo Davies rolled past Wahpeton, as the Eagles outscored the Huskies 36-0 in a doubleheader.
Eric Palm had a home run, two RBIs, three runs and drew two walks for the Eagles in Game 1, a six-inning game. Zack Kluvers went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs, a walk and an RBI.
In Game 2, a three-inning contest, Cole Hage went 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs to pace Davies. Rule Goellner added a pair of hits with a walk and two RBIs.
The Eagles improved to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the EDC. The Huskies fell to 1-6 both overall and in the EDC.
