FARGO — The North Dakota State baseball team defeated league-leading Omaha 3-2 in Summit League action Saturday at Newman Outdoor Field.

Carter Thompson and Charley Hesse each drove in a run for the Bison. Brock Anderson went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Max Loven (3-2) surrendered two runs on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts in a complete-game effort to earn the victory.

NDSU improved to 14-21 overall and 11-12 in the Summit League. Omaha dropped to 26-15-1 overall and 18-5 in league play.
