WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Winnipeg brought home eight runs in the seventh inning en route to an 8-7 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Thursday in an American Association baseball exhibition at Shaw Park before 2,450 fans.
Tim Colwell went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the RedHawks. Brennan Metzger, TJ Bennett and Chris Jacobs each drove in one run. Max Casper went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Tyler Pike was the starting pitcher for F-M. He surrendered two hits with two walks and five strikeouts through four shutout innings in a no-decision.
The Goldeyes batted around in the bottom of the seventh inning. Dominic Ficociello hit a two-run double and Adrian Marin had an RBI single in the inning. Each finished with two RBIs in the game to pace the Winnipeg offense.
