FARGO — The North Dakota State baseball team defeated Purdue Fort Wayne 11-9 Sunday at Newman Outdoor Field to win two out of a three Summit League games.

Pitcher Blake Tritch picked up his first win of the season. Bennett Hostetler went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs to lead the Bison. Carter Thompson had three RBIs and Sean Noel went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Jake Malec had a hit and drove in two runs.

The Bison enter the final regular season series tied with Western Illinois in the standings for the final spot in the conference tournament. NDSU (18-22, 14-13) will play three games against South Dakota State May 16-18.
