GARY, Ind. — Thomas Walraven crushed a three-run home run to break the tie and lift Gary SouthShore to a 10-7 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Thursday night in American Association baseball at U.S. Steel Yard before 3,580 fans.
Walraven finished 3-for-3 with two runs and six RBIs to lead the RailCats.
Correlle Prime paced the RedHawks, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Devan Ahart went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, hitting his fifth homer this season. Brian Olson had two hits, two runs, an RBI and drew three walks. Yhoxian Medina tallied a pair of hits with one run and one RBI.
The RedHawks (38-20) and RailCats (24-33) split the series two games apiece. F-M holds a one-game lead over St. Paul (37-21) in the North Division. The RedHawks host the Saints for a three-game series beginning 7 p.m. Friday.
