FARGO -- The players are different, but a familiar program will be in Indianapolis for the Little League Midwest Regional.
Fargo 12U beat West Fargo twice on Sunday to get back to Indy. They won game one 4-0 before taking home the state championship with a 15-0 win in five innings.
The victories give Fargo it's second straight appearance in the regional.
This year, the team does not have to play team from South Dakota. Instead, champions from both states earned automatic bids to the Midwest region. This is the first season the rule has been implemented.
For the players, the goals are just as lofty as last season.
"It would be a dream come true if we went to Williamsport," said Caleb Briggeman, a player for Fargo 12U.
"I really dreamed about it a lot, I've been trying my hardest to get there and just perform my best," said his teammate Caleb Christianson. "It's going to be a great journey going there and it's going to be a fun time with my teammates."
The team was just one win away from making it to Williamsport last season before falling to an Iowa team from Des Moines.
