Cobbers baseball starts season with two losses in Florida tournament

AUBURNDALE, Fla.—The Concordia Cobbers lost two games Monday at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational at Lake Myrtle Park, the first two games of their college baseball season.

Augustana (Ill.) earned a 13-3 victory against the Cobbers, while Alma (Mich.) scored a 14-13 win versus Concordia.

Cobbers left fielder Nate Leintz went 4-for-4 with three RBIs against Alma. Leintz also blasted a home run against Augustana. Concordia center fielder Chad Johnson went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the loss to Alma.

The Cobbers (0-2) are scheduled to play Neumann (Pa.) at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
