N.D. Class A Legion baseball roundup: Bombers rally to win opener over Jamestown

WILLISTON, N.D.--The Fargo Bombers scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat Jamestown 5-4 in Wednesday's opening round of the North Dakota Class A American Legion state baseball tournament.

Jake Bryant led the Bombers by going 2-for-4 with one run. Zach Sandy, Sam Moser, Drew Sandy and Michael Hallquist each had one RBI for the Bombers.

Jackson Bellerud pitched the first four innings, giving up two hits and one run. Moser and Bryant pitched the final three innings for the Bombers.

Bismarck 5, Kindred 3

Bismarck scored two runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning to claim a 5-3 win over Kindred Wednesday in the opening round.

Luke Domres went 2-for-4 with two RBI to pace Bismarck. Teammate Skyler Riedinger went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Kindred, which was limited to five hits, was led by Jonathan Twedt who went 2-for-4 with one RBI, Atley Ingebrigtson who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI and Michael Hall who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Park River breezed past Williston 24-1 Wednesday. With the win, Park River advances to face Bismarck at 4:30 Thursday.

Grafton shut out Surrey 5-0 to advance to a 7 p.m. Thursday matchup with the Fargo Bombers.
