ST. PAUL — St. Paul plated four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to clinch a 6-4 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in American Association baseball Wednesday night at CHS Field.

Brennan Metzger went 2-for-4, including his fourth home run this season in the third inning, to lead the RedHawks. Dylan Kelley had an RBI single in the top of the fourth.

The RedHawks led 3-2 prior to St. Paul's outburst. Alonzo Harris brought home Chesny Young with a sacrifice fly to spark the Saints' eighth-inning rally. John Silviano then scored Chris Chinea with an RBI single. Mitch Ghelfi singled home Josh Allen and Silviano to cap the surge.

Forrest Allday hit a leadoff home run in the top of the ninth to cut it to 6-4, but that was all the RedHawks would get.

F-M (10-20) and St. Paul (14-15) will play the series finale at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
