FARGO — Fargo Shanley turned a close game into an easy 11-1 win over Fargo South in the later innings on Monday.

Shanley led 3-1 after four but scored two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings and iced it with five in the seventh.

Shanley's Tommy Simon was 3-for-5, homered and doubled, and scored three runs. Cooper Mattern doubled twice and drove in three runs and Ben Ostlie had three hits, including a double, and scored twice. Elias Harris went the distance, allowing just two hits and striking out 13.

South's Braydon Dettling had one of the hits and drove in the Bruins' only run in the fourth.
