FARGO — Fargo Davies breezed by Bismarck Century 5-1 in Game 1, but fell 7-6 in Game 2 for a nonconference baseball doubleheader split on Saturday.

Easton Rerick finished 2-for-3, including a home run, with two runs and two RBIs for the Eagles in the opener. Eli Mach went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs, and Oliver Lucht had two hits.

Davies starter Jake Jaroszewski struck out six and gave up one run on four hits with two walks through six innings of work.

In the second game, Davies scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to go up 6-3. Century plated two runs each in the sixth and seventh innings to clinch the 7-6 win.

Ethan Claus was 2 of 4 with a run and two RBIs for the Eagles. Lucht tallied three hits and drove in one run, while Jaxon Beiswenger had one hit, a run scored and an RBI.

TJ Olsen drove in two runs for Century and Luke Pengilly tallied two hits.

Davies moved to 11-8 overall and Century is now 10-12 overall.
