West Fargo Sheyenne 6, 14 Fargo North 0, 0

FARGO — West Fargo Sheyenne rolled to a Game 2 win to complete a sweep of Fargo North in an Eastern Dakota Conference doubleheader on Thursday.

In the second game, Sheyenne (18.5-4.5, 8-0 EDC) scored nine in the top of the fifth to wrap it up. Casey Clementson worked all five innings, allowing three hits and striking out 14.

Tate Gustafson tripled and drove in two runs and Nolan Dodds had two hits and an RBI.

In Game 1, Lance Oster and Quade Peters combined on the shut out. Oster got the win, going six innings and allowing four hits. He walked four and struck out six. Peters finished up, allowing a hit and striking out two. Both also doubled, with Oster driving in a run.

Brennan Haman had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Evan Berg had a hit and two RBIs and Nolan Dodds doubled.

Ryan Manly and Will Bachman both hit doubles for the Spartans (10-12, 4-5).

Fargo Shanley 9, Fargo South 3

FARGO — Fargo Shanley bounced back quickly from a three-run deficit and defeated South in EDC play.

South scored three runs in the top of the first, but Shanley relievers Tommy Simon and Austin Kilen two-hit South the rest of the way. The Deacons took the lead with a four-run second, added three in the third and two more in the fifth.

Shanley’s Zach Sandy had two hits, two RBIs and scored three times. Ben Ostlie and Cooper Mattern both had two hits and drove in runs. South’s Demarion Semanko singled and had two RBIs.

Shanley improved to 18-4 overall and 7-1 in the EDC. South dropped to 5-11 overall and 3-5 in the EDC.

Moorhead 9, Grand Forks Central 8

MOORHEAD — The Moorhead Spuds tallied a walk-off eight-inning win over Grand Forks Central in nonconference action.

Jacob Hendrickson scored the winning run on an error. Zach Taft and Jake Thielke each had three hits for the Spuds. Taft scored twice and Thielke drove in two runs. Aaron Reierson and Hendrickson each hit a two-run homer. Reierson finished with a team-high three RBIs.

Both teams are now 7-7 overall this season.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 13, 9, Barnesville 8, 6

GLYNDON, Minn. — D-G-F swept Barnesville in a doubleheader.

In the opener, D-G-F’s Colby Schreiber was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. Kaden Altobelli was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Brandon Watt had two RBIs.

Kayden Camacho finished with three hits, including a home run, with a run and three RBIs to pace the Rebels (8-4) in Game 2. Grant Anderson tallied two runs and two RBIs, while Jordan Summers added three hits.

Caleb Jablonsky had two hits, two runs and an RBI for Barnesville (3-11) in Game 2. Carson Hagen drove in two runs.

Northern Cass 8, 9, Fargo Oak Grove 4, 5

HUNTER, N.D. — Northern Cass swept Fargo Oak Grove in a Class B doubleheader.

In Game 1, Cam VanWechel had two hits and drove in three runs to pace Northern Cass. Jacob Larson totaled three hits, two runs and an RBI, while Keegan Neva drove in two runs.

Conner Asche went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI to lead the Grovers. Ethan Dudeck also drove in a run and scored a run.

In the five-inning second game, Northern Cass scored five runs in the first inning and four in the second. Oak Grove brought home five runs in the fourth.

VanWechel was 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI for the Jaguars. Carter Westlund drove in two runs.

Greyson Dockter had two RBIs for the Grovers in Game 2. Asche had a hit and scored one run.
