FARGO — A pair of four-run innings gave Chicago some distance and the Dogs held on for an 11-7 win over Fargo-Moorhead on Wednesday at Newman Outdoor Field.

Six Dogs had two or more hits and Michael Crouse, Johnny Adams and Danny Mars all drove in two runs. The Dogs got after RedHawks starter Logan Nissen, who surrendered six earned runs on eight hits and three walks in 4-1/3 innings. Three RedHawks errors helped Chicago score four unearned runs.

Fargo-Moorhead's Leo Pina was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI, and Sam Dexter also homered. Dexter and Jordan George, who also doubled, both had two hits and an RBI and Manny Boscan had a hit and two RBI.

The RedHawks are off Thursday before beginning a three-game road trip in Milwaukee at 6:35 p.m. Friday, June 25.
