FARGO — Fargo-Moorhead starter Logan Nissen has found a nice groove in the last month and it was evident again Monday in the RedHawks' 8-0 win over Winnipeg before 2,783 at Newman Outdoor Field.

Nissen pitched four-hit ball over six innings to get the win. Leo Pina and Correlle Prime both homered and Prime drove in three runs. Pina, Alex Boxwell and Nick Novak all had two hits and an RBI. Jordan George was 2-for-3 and Sam Dexter had a hit and drove in a run.

Nissen is 3-1 with a 2.32 earned-run average in 31 innings pitched in five starts since a bad loss against Chicago on June 23 dropped him to 1-3. In his four decisions, his ERA is 1.44 in 25 innings. He went six innings but didn't get a decision in the RedHawks' 6-5 win at Lincoln on July 9.

The F-M bullpen, which struggled despite a couple of blowout wins over the weekend, acquitted itself well and saved the shutout. Michael Hope relieved Nissen and allowed just a hit and a walk in two innings. Mark Finkelnburg set the Goldeyes down in order in the ninth.

The RedHawks wrapped up a seven-game homestand and now hit the road to open a series against Kane County at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 20.
