MANDAN, N.D. — The top-seeded West Fargo Patriots cruised to a 12-2 victory over No. 8 seed Mandan in five innings on Tuesday in the North Dakota Class 2A American Legion state baseball tournament at Veterans Memorial Ballpark.

Brayden Jacobson homered and drove in three runs for the Patriots. Lance Oster also drove home three runs. Quade Peters finished 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Anthony Villanueva went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, while Evan Berg had two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Brennan Haman picked up the win for the Patriots. He tossed 3 1/3 innings and gave up one unearned run on three hits with seven strikeouts and one walk.

The Patriots advanced to play No. 4 Bismarck at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mandan will play No. 5 seed Grand Forks at 1 p.m. Wednesday in an elimination game.
