MANDAN, N.D. — No. 4 seed Bismarck utilized a sixth-inning outburst to knock off No. 2 seed Fargo Post 2 in a North Dakota Class 2A American Legion state baseball tournament elimination game at Veterans Memorial Ballpark.

Caden Headlee belted a three-run home run for Post 2 in the bottom of the fifth inning. Thomas Simon tallied two hits and a run scored, while Ben Ostlie and Connor Holm each had a hit and a run.

Bismarck brought home six runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 4-0 deficit. Cru Walker drove in two runs, and Jackson Klipfel had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Bismarck advanced to play Fargo Post 400 at 5 p.m. Friday in the semifinals. Post 2 ended its season at 31-11 overall.
