FARGO - Jory Collins has been on the job as women's basketball coach at North Dakota State for two weeks and is starting to put his staff together.

Monday Collins announced that Morgan Paige will remain on staff. Paige has been an assistant coach under Maren Walseth for the past three seasons. Paige will take over as the recruiting coordinator for the team.

“I am thankful to Jory and the athletic department for the new opportunity here at NDSU,” Paige said in a statement released by the university. “I am very excited for the direction and future of the program and I will keep striving to be my best for the Bison as we move forward.”

Paige is a Marion, Iowa native, who was a four year letterwinner at Wisconsin. She served as the program's interim head coach after Walseth and the school parted ways on March 11th.

Collins has hired two people so far for his staff, Paige and Brooke Costley. Costley is the director of basketball operations, she comes from Emporia State, Collins old stomping grounds, where he was head coach from 2010-18.

Paige has a big challenge in front of her on the recruiting front. NDSU has had challenges getting some of the area's top players to come to Fargo and this year's recruiting just ended a quiet period on Sunday. Collins said in his introductory press conference that he would look to add some additional player or players to his roster, but "wouldn't take a player just to take a player."

Collins has two more assistant jobs to fill on his staff.
