MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twin Cities have been kind to the Henning Hornets in 2019.
In March, the team romped to win the school's first state championship at the Target Center.
On Monday, the team returned to Minneapolis to throw out the first pitch before the Twins took on the Yankees at Target Field.
The team was introduced individually on the jumbotron to the crowd on hand. Head coach Randy Misegades believes there were a few butterflies before heading to the mound.
"To be honest, the kids that threw out the first pitch, I think they were a little bit nervous," he said. "They didn't want to bounce one up there or something."
Still, the memories made this year will be ones that stick with the team according to it's leader.
"It was all smiles and we had a lot of people here," Misegades said.
