Moorhead basketball standout, Miss Basketball candidate Haiby has tear in her left knee

MOORHEAD -- Moorhead senior point guard and University of Nebraska commit Sam Haiby tore the lateral meniscus in her left knee against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Friday. 

She is getting an MRI on Wednesday, Jan. 2, to find out the severity of the injury.

Haiby is a Miss Basketball candidate in Minnesota, averaging 30 points a game in the first 11 games this season. No Moorhead basketball player has scored more points in their career with the Spuds than Haiby. She surpassed 2,000 points for her career on Dec. 5.
