INDIANAPOLIS-Minnesota State Moorhead is ranked third in the Central Region in the first NCAA Division II women's basketball regional rankings, which were released Wednesday, Feb. 14.

The Dragons (21-3) have won 15 consecutive games and are one of four Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams ranked in the top 10 in the region. Augustana (21-2) is ranked fourth, Northern State (21-4) is ranked fifth and Wayne State (20-6) is ranked No. 10.

Southwestern Oklahoma State (22-1) is ranked No.1 in the region, while Central Missouri State (21-3) is ranked second. The top eight teams (counting automatic bids from three conference tournament winners) in the region advance to the Division II tournament, which starts on March 9.
